Our Story.
At Peterson Farm Solutions our mission is to take a leadership role in providing corn and soybean producers innovative and sustainable solutions to growing a bigger and higher quality crop. We established and have continually grown this business since 1996 by providing industry leading genetics and traits then supporting these products with 40+ years of agronomy experience.
Our business has combined innovative farming practices, the most modern equipment, and cutting edge technology that allow us to provide our customers with hands-on experience in teal field situations when making recommendations of new products and practices. This "farmer tested" approach allows our producers to be confident that the recommendations are only biased by firsthand experience and knowledge.
We believe in constant communication, honesty, efficiency, hard work, and the willingness to change.

Ryan Peterson

Ryan Peterson is an accomplished Co-Owner of Peterson Farm Solutions who is from Pocahontas, Iowa. After graduating from Iowa State University with a major in accounting in 1994, he quickly became a certified crop advisor and has since amassed an impressive 26 years of experience in the Corn and Soybean Agronomy fields. He is proud to have achieved success in his hometown, providing sound agronomic advice to local farmers and businesses alike.
Mike Peterson

Mike Peterson is a seasoned agriculturalist with a deep love for the family business. Growing up in Pocahontas, Iowa, Mike began his agrarian journey at 10 years old and developed an unyielding passion for the land from a young age. After graduating in 1997 from NorthWest Missouri State with a Bachelor's degree in Ag Science, he returned to his home state to take on the role of Head Operations Manager at Peterson Farm Solutions.

Austin Hausworth is a lifelong Iowan who grew up on the family farm in Havelock. After graduating from Minnesota West Community and Technical College with an Ag Production and Agronomy degree, he started his career as a Sales Agronomist at Petersons in 2014. His years of experience on the family farm have proven to be an invaluable asset in his current role as agronomist, where he provides guidance that will lead to better yields and more profitable harvests.
Clayton Swanson
Agronomy Specialist / Farm Hand

Clayton Swanson is an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about agriculture. He earned his degree in Ag Studies and minor in Agronomy from Iowa State University before joining Peterson Farm Solutions as an Agronomy Specialist and Farm Hand in May of 2023. Based in Emmetsburg, Iowa, Clayton has been able to combine his expertise with his lifelong interest in farming to work on the farm, carefully monitoring and improving the soil quality.
